2018 SCBF Pump Track Winter Jam Results, Video & Photos

Despite the crazy windy and cold weather, we had a great turnout at our 3rd winter pump track event at Brooklyn Pump Track! 30 riders came out to shred and participate in the competition. SCBF Pump Track JAM Feat. Bill Allen 3.18.18

The fun continues with our Pump Track Jam series at Brooklyn Pump Track. This time we have a special guest, Bill Allen AKA Cru Jones from the movie Rad! He’ll be signing autographs and bring some special prizes for our lucky competition winners! Of course we’ll be having more fun bicycle competitions for the whole family to enjoy plus you can’t beat the awesome views of NYC and the Williamsburg Bridge.

Just $10 to compete in all the competitions

We’ll also be having a Vintage BMX show and swap meet during the event. There will be a “Best Of Show” metal and prizes given out to the winner.

We had a great time at the 2nd SCBF Pump Track Winter Jam. It was super windy but we made it happen. We got to run some fun events like Time Trial, Chase race, Bunny Hop, Longest Skid and Best Style. SCBF Pump Track Winter Jam #2 3.3.18

We’re back at it again with another pop up pump track winter jam at Brooklyn Pump Track!! we’re gonna be having more fun bicycle competitions for the whole family to enjoy. Plus you can’t beat the awesome views of NYC and the Williamsburg Bridge. It’ll also be the official opening weekend for Brooklyn Bike Park!!

We’ll be bring back the Time Trail and High Jump four sure. Other competitions we’re thinking about doing are the chase race, best style, longest skid, team time trial and bunny hop! Let us know in the comments below what competitions you’d like to do at the event.

Winner of each competition will get 5 seconds to grab some goodies from the prize box. We’ll also be raffling off some more prizes.

Track opens and registration starts at 10:30am, Competition start at 11:15am.
Age Groups are 9 Year Old and Under, 10-15 Year Old, 16&Over and 35&Over

Zach P Wins Nutcase Helmet Prize!

We had the 10-15 year old Pump Track Jam Time Trial winners pick out a prize from our prize box but there was a catch, they only had 5 seconds each to grab something. Nick Barone got his self a nice DHDwear “BMX Trooper” t-shirt and Pablo Londono grabbed a cool Alpha Bicycle Products snap back hat. But it was Zach Parenzen who dug a little deeper into the box and won a nice Nutcase Helmet. Yeah we sneak in a few bigger prizes in the bottom of the box

Everyone Loved The Team Corrosive Prizes At The Pump Track Jam

Our friends at Team Corrosive hooked us up with a big box of T-Shirt and sticker goodies to give out to the winners at our events! And at our recent Jam at Velosolutions Pump Track in Brooklyn we gave out a bunch!

Our new favorite way to give out our prizes is to give the winners 5 seconds each to grab an item from our prize box. And a bunch of lucky winners got their hands on some T-shirts, stickers and even some cool Mike Buff SE Bikes baseball cards all courtesy of Team Corrosive! SUPER HUGE shout out and thanks to them for sponsoring the SCBF Events! We have more to come this year so stay tuned!

Spencer Lonergan Wins FreshPark Grind Rail At Winter Jam

For our last event for the day during the Pump Track Winter Jam at Velosolutions Brooklyn Pump Track we did a rail grind competition. Pablo Londono, Spencer Lonergan and Matthew Pagliarulo were the only 3 riders up for the challenge. Pablo and Matt tried to get busy and gave their best effort to get rad on the rail but Spencer was the clear winner with his variety of tricks. Congrats to Spencer for his win!!!

Ironically Spencer actually helped us put the rail together for the event at the beginning of the day so he really earned it

Pump Track Winter Jam 1.20.18 (600 + Photos)

With the weather looking like it was gonna be really good this past Saturday we decided to do a popup winter jam at the Velosolutions Brooklyn Pump Track and we’re so glad we did! We had an awesome turnout to the event and the track was packed with BMXers and MTber from Long Island, upstate NY, NYC of course and Connecticut!! We were looking forward to riding the dirt jumps but they were still really wet from the storms earlier in the week. But the paved pump track was dry and ready for action.

Since it was a pop up event we only ran 3 competition on the paved pump track. We did Time Trial, Best Style and High Jump. The track layout is a little shorter this time around because of the construction on the property but it actually made the time trial even a little more challenging. It also made the High Jump competition more challenging too but the riders were ready for the challenge and put on an awesome show!

We gave out some cool prizes to the top three riders in each age group (9&Under, 10-15, 16&Over and 35&Over) and we did it grab bag style where each winner had 5 seconds to pick a prize from the prize box. It was fun to watch lol! We also did a raffle of the remaining prizes plus a Hyper M.I.A frame! Super huge shout out to our sponsors DHDWear, Team Corrosive, Free2Ride, TNT Bicycles, Cult Crew, Nutcase Helmets and Hyper Bicycles! Also big shout out to the Barone family for bringing some Aplha Bicycle Products to add to the prizes!!!

SCBF Pump Track Winter Jam @BKBP 1.20.18

With the forecast looking awesome this Saturday, we decided to do a pop up winter jam at Brooklyn Pump Track. This will be our first event of 2018 and also our first event since all the changes at the pump track!

We’ll be doing some (loose) competitions like best trick, time trial and bunny hop. We’ll even bring some Fresh Park goodies to get busy on. Hopefully the dirt jumps will be dry so we can have some fun on them too but the paved pump track is always rideable.

It’s just $10 to ride and or compete! We also have some cool prizes to give out to random shredders. We may even do raffle of some cool prizes! It’s gonna be a blast!

SCBF Pump Track Winter Jam Velosolutions (500+Photos)

This past Sunday was the last day that entire Velosolutions Pump Track in Brooklyn was gonna be open and to wrap things up we did a one last SCBF Pump Track event! We did 6 different competitions; High Jump, Bunny Hop, Best Style, Time Trial, Time Trial Relay and Longest Skid.

For this event we did something a little different and put all the riders into teams of 4 at the very beginning of the event. Every riders results counted towards their team results in each competition and overall. So instead of an individual’s results determining if they winning a particular competition, It’s the the whole team’s result that determined it. We also kept track of the total results by age group and we gave out awards for that too. This was our first time doing the competition this way and we used a new point system but it worked out pretty good. We did have 1 or 2 errors but by the next event we should have it all worked out.
