We did the bunny hop competition which was crazy then we did the wheelie competition which wasn’t so easy since the riders had wheelie up a pretty steep incline. After that we did the multi lap race around the fence by the parking lot. The 10-15 class had a lot of riders and they all went at once. It was a wild one to watch. And finally we did the Trick Attack/Style competition where riders got to show off some of their tricks.

It felt great to be back out there doing the SCBF again. Big shout and thanks to Sarah Robichaud for hosting the event and getting me back in the swing of things. It’s been 7 years since we did a Sugar Cayne Bike Fest at Tri-City. Next up is the 10 year anniversary of the SCBF at Trumbull BMX Track in Connecticut, October 21st. See you there!

We only did three competitions this year, the Relay race, bunny hop and Bike Life Wheelie comp. They were fun to watch.

This year’s raffle was our biggest one yet! We gave away a bunch of T-Shirts courtesy of DHDWear, Snafu and Block. We also gave away two Nutcase Helmets and two Carrera R/C Cars. Bike Connection gave us some brake cables, grips and numberplates for the Raffle and the big prize was a 2019 Mongoose Title Pro XXL complete!

Since it was a pop up event we only ran 3 competition on the paved pump track. We did Time Trial, Best Style and High Jump. The track layout is a little shorter this time around because of the construction on the property but it actually made the time trial even a little more challenging. It also made the High Jump competition more challenging too but the riders were ready for the challenge and put on an awesome show!

We gave out some cool prizes to the top three riders in each age group (9&Under, 10-15, 16&Over and 35&Over) and we did it grab bag style where each winner had 5 seconds to pick a prize from the prize box. It was fun to watch lol! We also did a raffle of the remaining prizes plus a Hyper M.I.A frame! Super huge shout out to our sponsors DHDWear, Team Corrosive, Free2Ride, TNT Bicycles, Cult Crew, Nutcase Helmets and Hyper Bicycles!
